Fur & Feather Stand Together

Fur & Feather Stand Together is the tale of two unlikely friends and their quest to save the world's winter. When Penny the puffin follows a crack in the arctic permafrost to find Nook the polar bear stranded on a slab of ice, she knows something has to be done. Together, with the help of puffins, sloths, baboons, loons, and whales alike, Nook and Penny find a way to reach out to animals and people across the globe, and make the case that changing the weather means we have to come together. Written by David Griswold.

Nook & Penny P.

When designing the character “Nook” I wanted to capture his friendly and innocent nature. Initially Penny was going to be a Penguin, but after some research (and consulting some brilliant biologists) we learned that penguins don’t live in the north pole! So Penny the Puffin was born.

Just for fun, I made this animated loop of Nook and Penny!
