I love taking on new creative challenges any time of the year, but especially when “Inktober” rolls around. I’ve found that a daily drawing practice not only improves my craft but it also opens doors to creative discoveries.

JOSIE FINDS THE PERFECT PET
I created this series to explore the personality and design of a protagonist. Josie is a playful, curious, and spunky 8 year old who loves animals (she is based on me as a kid). When designing characters, it is important to understand who they are by pairing them with other characters. While making this series, I practiced expressing Josie’s personality through gesture drawing and character interaction.
