Raley’s Supermarket
At RogueMark Studios, I had the opportunity to art direct and design a series of animated videos about the health effects of sugar and artificial ingredients for Raley’s Supermarkets.
These videos are part of a larger education project called Raley’s Purely Made for both Raley’s employees and customers. I collaborated with Julia Cone (Illustrator) and Marisa Rafter (Animator) to create this series.
When developing the look and feel of the animation, we looked to Mid Century Modern colors and cartoons for inspiration. We also used Raley’s brand colors as a design foundation.
I was given the opportunity to design the characters for this series. I looked at the character of “Yvette” as a magical fairy god - nutritionist. It was a lot of fun drawing her magical abilities to help Raley’s customers make healthy choices!
Before jumping into animation, we created storyboards and color scripts to create a map of how the videos would look.
